Republicans in the House on Thursday will release a new page on their website which will show a state by state break down with over 500 examples of Americans helping their friends, neighbors, and communities as coronavirus continues to spread, the Daily Caller has learned.

The page is called “America Works Together,” and was created to honor those who are stepping up to help those in need, showing over 500 examples of Americans helping each other out during the pandemic.

The new page comes as President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that to, “honor and celebrate the extraordinary examples of patriotism and citizenship we’re seeing, I’m asking Americans to use the hashtag #AmericaWorksTogether, when sharing stories of how we’re all working together get through, getting through this ordeal, in a fashion that nobody would have ever thought possible.”

On the page, you can click on any state on the map and you will then get a list of stories about Americans working together to help fight the deadly disease. For example, if you click on Michigan, one story that pops up is titled “Michigan science teacher sparks movement to help those on the front lines of COVID-19.” If you click on Florida, one of the stories that appear is “Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida donate unsold cookies to military members.”

“These examples – and millions more like them – show Americans coming together to help their neighbors and communities. This is not a time for cynicism or invective or second-guessing. This is a time to remember that we are citizens of the greatest nation on earth, that we have overcome every challenge we have faced, and we will overcome this one,” House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney told the Daily Caller.

“We will defeat this virus. We will restore our economy. We will heal our nation. We are Americans,” Cheney continued.

Other Republican members of Congress had similar comments about the new page. Virginia Rep. Denver Riggleman told the Daily Caller that “Americans across the country have stepped up during this unprecedented and difficult time. My own family’s distillery started producing hand sanitizer to fill a need in our local community. I am proud of my wife and daughters for stepping up and helping others – the strength and generosity shown by them and so many other Americans shows how we can move forward and get through these trying times.”

Oregon Rep. Greg Walden told the Daily Caller that “This virus is a silent killer, but the American spirit is anything but quiet. This moment has revealed the roaring resolve of our people when we are united in common purpose. There are incredible stories of Americans stepping up—all across this nation, from community to community—proving how we respond to this challenge is what matters.”

The GOP’s new page will launch sometime Thursday.
