Since he became Kamala Harris’ running partner, Walz has faced numerous issues related to his past. More recently, there was a dispute over stolen valor, in which Walz implied or frequently stated that he had fought in a combat zone. Furthermore, he has claimed to be a retired Command Sergeant Major for the majority of the last 20 years. He really only held the rank temporarily for a few months since he chose not to go to Iraq with his unit, which led to his demotion.
On a side note, RedState previously revealed that Walz has ties to Asad Zaman, an extremist Muslim preacher.
The Washington Examiner discovered that Democratic vice presidential contender Tim Walz, while serving as governor of Minnesota, hosted a Muslim cleric on at least five occasions, cheered on Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel, and supported a movie that is well-liked by neo-Nazis and exalts Adolf Hitler.
“Asad Zaman, the imam of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, met with Walz’s Minnesota governor’s office in May 2023 to discuss mosque security together with other Muslim leaders.” Zaman also made a call for nonviolent demonstrations alongside the governor during the Minnesota riots that followed George Floyd’s death at an event in May 2020. Only a few months after Zaman demanded that the government end its closure during a news conference with Walz in January 2019, the cleric gave an invocation prior to Walz’s state address in April 2019.
“In addition, social media photos reveal that Zaman attended a May 2019 Ramadan gathering that Walz sponsored.”
The Harris team replied, according to Gabe Kaminsky of the Washington Examiner, by refuting any personal connection between Walz and Zaman. However, a recently discovered video of one of their appearances together presents a quite different image.
Waldz: I would want to thank the imam first and foremost. Since I work as a teacher, I can recognize a master teacher when I see one, and throughout our time together, one of the things I’ve had the honor of doing is trying to grasp life’s lessons by viewing them through the eyes of a master teacher.”
Is it expected of us to think that despite their lack of a personal relationship, Walz was near enough to Zaman to see “things in life through” the radical Muslim’s eyes and recognize him as a “master teacher” who could impart wisdom? That’s not even close to passing muster. Given the frequency of their joint public appearances and the governor’s enthusiastic remarks, Walz knew Zaman well. It has also come to light that Zaman’s organization received $100,000 in support from Walz’s administration.
EXCLUSIVE: Tim Walz—in footage unearthed by @dcexaminer—called Hitler-promoting imam Asad Zaman a “master teacher” who offered Walz lessons over the time they “spent together"

These aren’t “mistakes” forever; that period has come and gone. These are instances of Walz’s deliberate misrepresentations about his history. Throughout his military and political career, the governor has fabricated or concealed his past for political purposes. The mainstream media and the Harris campaign may try to hide the facts, but the truth is starting to surface. It’s quite likely that J.D. Vance is also collecting notes for the discussion.
