President-elect Donald Trump is gearing up to deliver on his promise of an American energy boom, and his Cabinet picks have the left quaking in their wind-turbine boots. By slashing burdensome Biden-era regulations and prioritizing reliable energy sources, Trump’s administration is poised to restore American energy dominance and lower costs for hardworking Americans.
Gabriella Hoffman, Director at the Independent Women’s Forum Center for Energy & Conservation, praised Trump’s energy picks, calling them a vast improvement over their predecessors. Former Congressman Lee Zeldin will lead the EPA, Liberty Energy CEO Chris Wright takes the reins at the Department of Energy, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will oversee the Interior Department. Hoffman told Fox News Digital, “They’re going to be taking a more tactful approach to energy development. They’re not going to keep resources in the ground. They’ll prioritize reliable sources like coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, and even geothermal.”
Hoffman predicts a reevaluation of what conservation truly means, shifting away from the Democrats’ ineffective, control-driven green schemes. She added, “We’ll see a robust kind of development of energy here in the United States. This is going to be great for the economy, national security, and reducing reliance on countries with less environmentally friendly practices.”
Trump’s administration is ready to dismantle Biden’s pet projects, including the so-called Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a $369 billion boondoggle filled with subsidies for wind and solar energy and electric vehicles. Hoffman noted, “For gas and electricity prices to drop, the IRA needs to go. It’s what’s driving energy inflation, from higher pump prices to skyrocketing utility bills.”
Trump also plans to clamp down on regulatory overreach, such as Biden’s “America the Beautiful” plan, which aims to lock up 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. Hoffman called it a “control mechanism, not a conservation tool.”
Beyond undoing the Democrats’ mess, Trump is focused on expanding nuclear energy, which Hoffman described as “a really safe technology, especially when produced here. We don’t want China or Russia to have an edge.”
Trump’s energy agenda isn’t just about reversing Biden’s failures—it’s about unleashing the full potential of American innovation and resources. While Democrats cling to their fantasyland of windmills and electric cars, Trump’s team is putting real solutions on the table: energy independence, lower costs, and stronger national security.
The left’s obsession with subsidized, unreliable energy sources has only hurt everyday Americans with higher bills and fewer options. Trump’s policies are a return to common sense and a rejection of the environmentalist fearmongering that has crippled our energy sector for years.
The Democrats had their chance, and they blew it. Now it’s time for Trump to deliver what Americans want: affordable, reliable energy that puts our country first.
