With the 2022 midterm races heating up, Republicans are scrambling for an endorsement from none other than Former President Trump. Those who largely supported Mr. Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda will likely receive one.
Sen. John Kennedy is the latest Republican to earn an endorsement from Trump. The Former President released a statement from his office in south Florida on Thursday:

Kennedy has maintained a staunch Trump ally since the beginning. The Louisiana Republican was one of only a few brave Senators objecting to the Electoral College votes for Joe Biden.
Last month, Sen, Kennedy voted to acquit Trump over a single charge of insurrection following the Capitol protests of Jan. 6. His Louisiana cohort, Sen. Bill Cassidy, voted to convict Trump, drawing fierce criticism in their home state.
Trump is fulfilling his pledge to take an active role in electing Republicans in the 2022 midterms, putting the Democrats’ razor-thin majorities to the test. Other incumbent Republicans Trump has publicly backed are Sens. Jerry Moran and Tim Scott.
Mr. Trump has yet to throw his weight behind any GOP challenger in the Senate.
