These are the key players in the Republican Party according to Trump:
- Gov. Ron DeSantis
- Sen. Josh Hawley
- Sen. Ted Cruz
- Sen. Rand Paul
- Sarah Huckabee Sanders
- Gov. Kristi Noem
Trump remains vague on his decision to run in 2024, stating he would gladly endorse any candidate from this list if he decides against it.
“There’s a pretty deep bench,” Trump said, adding his decision to run will be decided at a later date.
Trump did not mention his former vice president Mike Pence in his list of Republican heavy-hitters, even criticizing Pence for not standing up for election integrity earlier this year.
“It’s too bad that Mike Pence didn’t stand up. I think we would have had a much different result…” Trump said, and added, “Mike Pence could have sent the results back and demanded Congress do more to check this out.”
Trump was also highly critical of the Republican Party RINOs, namely Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, “little” Ben Sasse, and Mitt Romney.
“These are not good for the Republican party,” he said.
