The so-called “sanctuary state” of Massachusetts just got a rude awakening. In a five-day ICE operation from March 18 to 23, 370 illegal aliens were arrested in and around Boston—a sanctuary jurisdiction where lawlessness is protected and law enforcement is handcuffed. Out of those arrests, 205 individuals had serious criminal convictions or pending charges, and what ICE uncovered was nothing short of a national disgrace.
These weren’t “dreamers” or “asylum seekers” looking for a better life. These were child rapists, murderers, drug traffickers, armed robbers, and violent fugitives—protected by blue-state politicians and released onto our streets by activist judges and reckless mayors.
Let’s talk about Mario Luis Lambert Colon, a Honduran illegal immigrant deported twice, convicted of child rape, and still roaming the streets of Salem before ICE had to step in. Or Orlando Ernesto Olivares Mosso, a Chilean migrant with four counts of child sexual assault, deportation orders in hand—and still protected by local authorities.
One after another, the names and rap sheets pour in like a horror story—enticing minors, statutory rape, murder warrants from Brazil and the Dominican Republic, fentanyl trafficking, heroin dealing, gun charges, gang affiliations. And yet Boston’s local courts refused to honor ICE detainers—releasing predators and felons back into the public like they were handing out candy on Halloween.
Even more damning? Several of these criminals were already deported under President Trump’s first term—only to be caught and released by the Biden administration after waltzing back across the open border. That includes Brazilian fugitive Jomar Henrique Souza Santos, wanted for murder in his home country, but caught and released at the southern border in 2022.
This is what happens when liberal sanctuary policies collide with the real world—chaos, crime, and carnage. ICE wasn’t acting alone. This coordinated sting involved the FBI, DEA, ATF, U.S. Marshals, and DSS, proving how high the stakes are when local officials refuse to cooperate.
Tom Homan, Trump’s Border Czar, kept his promise after warning about the wave of illegal alien crime sweeping Massachusetts. And he delivered. “We kicked off a five-day operation,” Homan said, “and these incredible men and women arrested a total of 370 illegal aliens in Boston and surrounding areas.”
But the most sickening part? Many of these monsters were released from local jails before ICE could even show up. Courts in cities like Lynn, New Bedford, and Milford ignored ICE detainers—allowing known criminals to escape justice and continue their reign of terror.
This isn’t immigration. This is an invasion protected by lawless politicians. It’s no wonder Trump’s crackdown is winning massive support across the country. Americans are tired of being told they’re “racist” or “intolerant” while their families are put at risk by a government that protects everyone but its own citizens.
