Trump Destroys McConnell After Numerous Betrayals

In his statement, Trump said the Republican Party would never be “respected or strong” with McConnell in its leadership. Naming McConnell a “sullen, unsmiling, and dour political hack,”

Since the impeachment trial McConnell has publicly blamed Trump for the events on Jan. 6, revealing he only voted to acquit because the former president is no longer in office.

Trump, countering McConnell, repeatedly blames him for the recent Senate loses in Georgia claiming Schumer plays McConnell “like a fiddle.”

“I single-handedly saved at least 12 Senate seats In ‘Mitch’s Senate,’ over the last two election cycles—and then came the Georgia disaster…” Trump opines.

McConnell isn’t the only Republican Trump blames for the Republican electoral setbacks in 2020. According to Trump, Republicans lost so poorly in Georgia because GOP officials never maintained integrity of the elections. From the governor to the secretary of state, Trump calls each out individually.

Trump highlights McConnell’s lack of credibility on China because his wife, former Sec. of Transportation Elaine Chao, has significant business holdings with the Communist regime.

The Republican pair found themselves in conflict after the fallout from the 2020 election. McConnell urged his Republican colleagues to break from Trump, pushing them to certify the election for President Biden, ignoring Trump’s concerns over election fraud.

Trump promised to back primary rivals against McConnell “where necessary and appropriate.”

After voting to acquit on Saturday, McConnell totally eviscerated President Trump in a fiery speech on the Senate floor. McConnell upheld the Constitutional argument against impeaching a private citizen, but made no qualms about a potential criminal case against Trump.

He came for the president again on Monday in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal.

“There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone. His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended,” McConnell wrote.
