Prosecutors Use Text From Cuomo’s Own Book To Bring Him Down

Did you think that Andrew Cuomo’s problems had blown over? Not in the slightest.

Sure, a few months ago, it looked like all hell had broken loose against the Democrat governor. Numerous women had come out accusing the man of sexually harassing them. Democrats from New York were talking about impeaching him over the seemingly endless charges. But, as can be expected, it turns out that NY Democrats are as spineless as D.C. Democrats.

But that doesn’t mean Cuomo’s scandals are over. You might remember how the media praised this governor over his COVID “response.” He was so proud of how he did nothing to help, he wrote a book about it. Imagine being so arrogant that you’d set policies that led to more deaths, then you wrote a book to brag about it?

Well, it turns out that Cuomo’s little vanity project is coming back to haunt him. Because the Feds are using it against him.

“Prosecutors working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn asked for communications related to Mr. Cuomo’s October 2020 book, ‘American Crisis,’ including contracts and materials used to pitch the book to publishers, the people said,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “They said the subpoenas indicated prosecutors are interested in nursing-home issues in the book, which more broadly recounted the governor’s response to the pandemic.” [Source: Daily Wire]

If you’ve forgotten, here’s a reminder. At the start of the COVID pandemic, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo quietly signed an order forcing nursing homes to take in patients infected with the disease. Although by that time, we knew the elderly were the most at risk of this virus, he pushed this order anyway. Later on, as deaths started to spike, he signed a provision that gave hospitals and nursing homes immunity from lawsuits stemming from COVID deaths.

Hmm… doesn’t sound fishy at all! It seems pretty clear that Cuomo made a terrible decision and was trying to cover his tracks. As news came out over his nursing home order–big surprise–he deleted traces of it from the New York State website.

As things got really bad, Cuomo and his staff went out of their way to hide the actual number of deaths in the state. One top aid admitted on a call that they were doing this. In January of this year, New York AG revealed that the number of actual nursing home deaths was underreported by up to 50%.

It might not look like it from the surface, but Cuomo is in big trouble. He signed an order that put countless New Yorkers at unnecessary risk. Then, when many people started dying, he covered up the numbers so the federal government wouldn’t know.

The federal investigation has been going on all year. Now, prosecutors are looking at material related to Cuomo’s for more information. It seems they are looking at communications related to the book, even contracts he signed and materials used in the pitch to publishers.

No stones are being left unturned in the Feds’ search for the truth. It appears that they are looking to discover what Cuomo was reporting back in early 2020 to publishers and others, to see if it matched with the actual data from the state.

Something tells me Cuomo won’t like what they discover.
