Several states stopped counting their votes and won’t resume until today or later in the week. But that won’t change what we already know: Donald Trump has a commanding lead. There might be a court battle and Joe Biden might refuse to concede defeat. But it’s clear that the American people have spoken and the real work has just begun.
What’s important to note right now are the clear victories Trump scored in many key states. Trump took Florida with a 600,000 vote lead—a number far surpassing his victory in 2016 (it was 100,000). Numerous other “battleground” states gave Trump clear victories, including Texas and Ohio. It looks like he will take Michigan and Pennsylvania, perhaps even Arizona and Nevada.
While this may drag out for a few more days (thanks to our pathetic leftist friends), one thing is clear: not a single mainstream pollster got it right. Not only did Trump win many states they said he’d lose, but he outperformed on many levels.
Gee, who could have predicted that?
Some of the polls were off by very large margins—beyond the “margin for error.” Which is sparking justifiable outrage and a demand for answers. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had a simple solution: fire the pollsters.
In some cases, pollsters missed outcomes by double-digit margins by suggesting that the 2020 presidential election would not be close. Host Bret Baier asked Carlson if the polling industry were dead.
“You know, I really hope so,” Carlson replied. “And I can name some of the people that should be much fired immediately, and I think I will… But we in the media are particularly good at pretending that there is some reason that we misled our view viewers or our readers. We really should stop doing that because too much is at stake. And the first way to fix it is by holding the people who screwed up accountable. And that’s just by firing them.” [Source: Breitbart]
Yeah, I’d go with that. More evidence came pouring in that the polls were way off, especially in demographics Democrats thought they had locked up.
The national exit poll shows that President Donald Trump has pushed up his vote share of minorities and women, say political activists…
“According to the exit poll, Trump did better in 2020 with every race and gender except white men.”
The exit poll suggests that one-in-three Latino men voted for Trump, along with one-in-six black men.
The exit poll also suggests that women and non-whites are a 59.6 percent majority of Trump’s coalition, in contrast to the media suggestion that white men form a majority of Trump’s coalition. [Source: Breitbart]
Why did the pollsters get it so wrong? Well, I’ve been saying this for a long time now. Mainstream media polls are suppression polls meant to influence voters—not predict and election. Pollsters use all kinds of tricks to sway their results, from oversampling some groups to disregarding others, to weighing results a certain way until they get the numbers they want.
All you see is a simple percentage on a headline. But it’s far from the reality. We saw that in 2016 and we’re seeing that today.
Can we now all agree to stop believing the MSM?
