Months ago, President Trump passed a new rule regarding the Title X federal family planning program. The new rule would strike a major win for pro-life advocates. Planned Parenthood fought hard, but lost to Trump thanks to the 9th Circuit Court. Now, Planned Parenthood is losing out big time.
It’s no secret that President Trump has done more in the fight against abortion than any other president. He’s vowed to put justices on the Supreme Court that will one day even overturn Roe V. Wade. Until then, he’s setting policy that protects unborn Americans from being murdered in the womb.
One of his biggest victories has been in the form of a new Title X rule. Title X provides funding to family planning clinics. Trump’s new rule forbids any group receiving Title X funding from directing patients to get an abortion. To do so would mean that group loses out on federal money.
Sounds fair to me. I’m sure I’m not the only American who doesn’t want his tax dollars going to fund abortions.
But that posed a big problem for Planned Parenthood, a group that exclusively deals in abortions. The group received $60 million a year from Title X. Refusing to stop providing abortions or directing patients to get them, they took the issue to court.
The once super-liberal 9th Circuit Court gave Trump the victory, ruling that his Title X requirement can stand. Now, Planned Parenthood is forced to either change their abortion policy or give up some big bucks.
Guess what they did?
Planned Parenthood announced Monday that it is pulling out of the Title X federal family planning program rather than abide by a new Trump administration rule prohibiting participants from referring patients for abortions.
Pro-life groups heralded the abrupt decision as a major victory — and one that signaled that Planned Parenthood, contrary to its claims, is primarily a politically motivated abortion provider, not a healthcare organization…
The rule’s requirements also include financial separation from facilities that provide abortion, designating abortion counseling as optional instead of standard practice, and limiting which staff members can discuss abortion with patients. [Source: Fox News]
Wow. Planned Parenthood was forced to leave the Title X program—just so they could keep pedaling abortions.
The new rule was simple: if you want to keep receiving federal funding from this program, just stop making abortion your main focus.
There are many other clinics and affordable healthcare providers that were happy to do that. But not Planned Parenthood!
PP has claimed it is simply a healthcare organization dedicated to helping low income women. This news proves that to be a lie.
Trump’s Title X rule requires that healthcare providers designate abortion as optional and not the standard choice for pregnant women. Planned Parenthood couldn’t even to do that. That proves they primarily focus on abortions—and are so entrenched in that agenda that they left the program.
Imagine being so devoted to ending children’s lives that you’d give up $60 million in funding.
Does that sound harsh? What other way can we describe abortion? It is an outdated, barbaric and cruel practice, one that is totally unnecessary in our country.
But Planned Parenthood deceives American citizens by saying they provide other healthcare to women. Wrong. If that were the case, they could have easily separated their abortion services from the rest. But there are no other services they provide (that are completely unconnected to abortion).
Planned Parenthood claims abortion is a “women’s rights” issue. Give me a break. Today, women have plenty of better options to avoid getting pregnant. Or they can place a child with a loving family. Aborting a baby is the last option anyone should consider.
PP isn’t about helping American women. They are dedicated to pushing a political agenda—one that embraces abortion. Even when they had the choice to keep receiving federal funds to help women, they rejected it so they could keep pushing abortion.
That’s pretty sick if you ask me.
But don’t be fooled, Planned Parenthood still receives funding from state governments and private donors. They will still be performing abortions across the country, until the practice is outlawed for good.
