Democrats have been bringing in Obama loyalists to testify before the House in their ongoing impeachment inquisition. One of them was former U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. Her testimony was said to be key in aiding the left’s attack on President Trump. But new emails have come to light that has rocked everything she said. Turns out, she was not being honest in the least.
The impeachment push by House Democrats hinges on the phone call between Donald Trump and Ukraine’s president. Democrats were hoping the details of the call would remain a secret. But President Trump released the transcript of the call, proving he did nothing wrong. I can’t emphasize enough that the left has no case.
Their only tactic has been to interview “witnesses” from within the administration to question them about the phone call. People who lack first-hand knowledge of the exchange are being asked if they think Trump committed a crime. Apparently opinion is more important than facts.
The left has stacked the deck with government officials who are loyal to their party. They have tried to damage Trump with testimony that paints him in the worst light possible. But one of their “key” witnesses may be in hot water, big time. From what we’re seeing in newly released emails, she lied under oath.
Marie Yovanovitch, who was appointed to be the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine by former President Barack Obama, allegedly made false statements under oath during her October 11 closed-door testimony in House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.
“Before the contents of the whistleblower complaint were known publicly, a Democratic congressional staffer contact the former American ambassador to Ukraine to discuss what the staffer described as ‘quite delicate and time sensitive questions,’” Fox News’ Tucker Carlson exclusively reported…
Carlson noted that Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) asked Marie Yovanovitch about the email during her testimony and she allegedly stated that she never responded to the email.
“In fact, it turns out that she did respond,” Carlson revealed. “She said she ‘looked forward to chatting with [the Democratic staffer].” [Source: Daily Wire]
This is a very troubling development. A Democratic staffer contacted Yovanovitch about “quite delicate and time sensitive questions.” She emailed her private email account, instead of going through official channels in the State Department.
That would have been enough to raise concern. Why was this Democrat, from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, essentially emailing a former ambassador in secret?
Yovanovitch claims she referred the email to the State Department and never responded. That was a lie. Fox News acquired emails that revealed Yovanovitch did communicate with this staffer.
This all happened two days after the whistleblower complaint was submitted and over a month before it became public.
That’s pretty critical. We know that the whistleblower was contacting Adam Schiff’s office before the news went public. Schiff even lied about that, saying he had no knowledge of the complaint.
Now we see a Ukrainian ambassador was communicating with a Democrat right around the same time? And this exchange was so damning, that Yovanovitch lied about it under oath?
We know this entire impeachment charade was crafted by left just to take down Trump. There is no truth to their allegations that Trump pressured Ukraine. Yet they continue this circus, hoping it will damage his re-election chances.
But for a former ambassador to join in on this scheme? It doesn’t matter if she was an Obama loyalist, her duty is first to this country. To conspire with the left in any way is a violation of her commitment to serving the United States.
It seems she must have been conspiring with Democrats—if she felt compelled to lie about the email.
All her testimony must be thrown out, given this new revelation. Nothing she said during her hearing is credible. On top of that, we must get to the bottom of what she was really doing during that time.
Once again we see the wrongdoing wasn’t on the part of the president—but those who are opposing him.
