A New York Times writer took to Twitter to attack Republicans over an important fund. He even called out Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a veteran who lost an eye. He mocked Crenshaw being a “patriot.” Well, it didn’t take long for Crenshaw to humiliated this “journalist.”
You might have heard of Dan Crenshaw. He is the Texas representative who ran (and won) for office in 2018. It was the same election that a nobody from Saturday Night Live insulted the man for only having one eye.
That stupid jab put Crenshaw in the spotlight—almost guaranteeing his win his election. Oh, he lost that eye while fighting terrorists, by the way.
Crenshaw has been an outspoken and diligent congressman since entering office. So naturally, left-wing liberals in the fake news would go after him. Wajahat Ali, a writer for the New York Times, accused Crenshaw and other Republicans for refusing to support the continued funding of the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.
Apparently, Ali is as bad at his job as most journalists. Because Crenshaw quickly put him in his place.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) slammed far-left New York Times writer Wajahat Ali on Tuesday after Ali mocked the notion that Republicans like Crenshaw were “patriots” and falsely claimed that Crenshaw did not support the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.
Ali made his vile comments in response to comedian Jon Stewart slamming members of Congress on Tuesday over their failure “to ensure that a victims’ compensation fund set up after the 9/11 attacks won’t run out of money — and for skipping a hearing devoted to that very crisis,” Fox News reported.
In a now-deleted tweet, Ali wrote: “Anytime a Republican says they are ‘patriots’ ask them if they voted to fund the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. You know who’s for it? Ilhan Omar. You know who hasn’t sponsored it? Dan Crenshaw. @DanCrenshawTX, I hope you do the right thing. If not, why aren’t you?” [Source: Daily Wire]
I guess Ali only believes things that Joh Stewart says. Because Stewart was upset that Congress was failing to fund the 9/11 Victims Fund, Ali assumed that meant no Republicans were backing it.
Except for the fact that the House is controlled by Democrats. If they can’t pass a bill to fund this program, it’s because Democrats refuse to do so.
Hmm, I wonder why that could be? Is it because House Democrats are wasting times with subpoenas, investigations, and pointless attacks against the president? Crucial issues like immigration, healthcare, and the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund are being neglected, so Democrats can persecute the White House.
That’s who Ali should be mad at. But this biased “journalist” decided to call out Crenshaw, assuming he rejected the bill.
But he didn’t.
Crenshaw responded by writing: “Hey ‘journalist,’ maybe you should check your facts. I am a co-sponsor. Nice try though.”
Crenshaw, who is a former Navy SEAL, also included a picture of an x-ray scan of his head that showed the injury that he sustained when a bomb blew up in his face while he was fighting terrorists overseas. [Source: Daily Wire]
Not only does Crenshaw, the “patriot” support the bill, but his name is literally on the paper! Had a journalist bothered to actually look at the legislation, they would have known that. So, what does Ali even do—besides trying to bully people on Twitter?
This is so typical. Democrats and their goons in the media don’t care about facts or truth. This hack from the NYT was only looking for an excuse to bash Crenshaw, a literally hero, and prop up Ilhan Omar, a woman who insulted the victims of 9/11.
The bill to keep funding the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund has failed to pass, because Democrats in the House don’t care. They don’t care about Americans who suffer and are in need. They don’t care about doing what’s right for this country.
They only care about pushing their toxic agenda.
Ali deleted the tweet but failed to apologize to Crenshaw. Why am I not surprised?
Maybe Ali should look into his own party—you know, actually do his job.
But I won’t hold my breath waiting.
