Newsom Faces Recall Reality – There’s Nothing That Can Stop It Now

The recall saga unfolding in California continues to heat up. Not that long ago, unseating Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom seemed like a pipe dream. The man was popular within his deeply blue state.

But never underestimate the power of a second lockdown.

The recall effort secured its needed signatures and more, thanks to Newsom’s apparent hypocritical behavior during the lockdowns. The effort triggered an election, which will take place on September 14th.

Newsom has been doing everything in his power to prevent his downfall. But in recent days, the recall appears to have gained more steam. Voters seemed to grow excited when popular conservative icon Larry Elder entered the fray.

Now, a new poll reveals just how badly Newsom is doing.

A new Emerson College poll shows a statistical tie between likely voters who favor removing Gov. Gavin Newsom (46%) in the Sep. 14 recall, and those who favor retaining him (48%). The poll, conducted July 30-August 1, has a margin of error of 3%.

Moreover, undecided voters appear to be breaking against the incumbent. In July, 43% favored recalling Newsom, with 48% against it, and 6% of likely voters undecided. Undecided voters have since fallen 3%.

We know that polls from liberal-leaning outlets aren’t the best indicators. But when they have such close numbers, they’re worth paying attention to.

This poll has Newsom in a tie over his recall, with him losing well within the margin of error. What’s even more eye-opening is that undecided voters favor getting rid of the Democrat over keeping him. And Hispanic voters—a base Democrats in CA need to win—are breaking away from Newsom.

It seems that, despite Newsom’s attempts to save himself, votes are deeply disturbed at the direction of the state.

California is one of the most prosperous states in the country. Yet it is suffering from a historic homeless crisis and a massive rise in crime.

You’d think with all its wealth and power, California would be able to get the homeless off the streets and hire a few more cops. But the radical socialists who run the state are deliberately running CA into the ground. They refuse to do anything to remedy these easily fixable problems, because of their far-left agenda.

But the hard-working folks who make California run are sick and tired of it. The rich elite might be ignoring the problems, but the rest of the state is not.

We can’t predict what will happen, come September. But we know one thing: Newsom is getting very nervous right about now.
