Even though President Joe Biden was on vacation at the beach, he stopped by “The View” to answer the one question that he probably didn’t want to answer.
“Everyone at this table agrees, Mr. President: it’s very kind of you to hand off the reins and step down. Some people thought your hand was pushed, and they pointed the finger at Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with whom you’ve worked together on many projects for a long time,” Alyssa Farah Griffin told the president.
“Did you feel like you had to give in?” she asked. “What is your relationship with Speaker Pelosi now?”
“My relationship is fine,” Biden said, then laughed in a strange way. “I never really bought the claims that there was a big push against me running again. I didn’t feel that.”
Then Biden stumbled through the second part of his answer. He told Griffin, “There were some people who would like to see me step away so they can move on.”
The answer is at least interesting to Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report.”
“He kind of half-admits, or wrongly admits, that he did not want to step down, and then Whoopi jabs the Democrats for making him leave,” he says.
“I don’t like what they did. I’m going to say it out loud because no one else does. When it happened in public, I didn’t like it. I thought they could have done it differently so we wouldn’t have to hear all of their fights. It didn’t work for me. I told you, you were my ride or die,” Whoopi said to the president.
“Whoopi is saying, ‘I don’t like that we knew about it, I don’t like that it seems like they might have forced you to leave, and that got out to everyone.’ It looks like Whoopi would rather that the government and powerful people, also known as the “deep state” or “elites,” do things behind our backs and no one knows about it,” says Rubin.
