For years, so-called Republicans have hidden among the GOP, biding their time. They claimed to be conservatives, but when confronted with a president eager to forward the agenda, they balked. But the popularity of Donald Trump prevented these RINOs from openly attacking him. Until now.
The convenient events of January 6 allowed many swamp dwellers in Republican clothing reveal their true intentions. Although many of them were re-elected thanks to Donald Trump, they quickly pulled out their knives and stabbed him in the back. They openly blamed him for what happened, in a pathetic attempt to save their own skins.
When Democrats rushed a pointless and unconstitutional impeachment (for the second time), ten Republican congressmen voted with them. One of those “Republicans” was Liz Cheney, daughter of former VP Dick Cheney.
Now, her own state is turning on her.
The Wyoming Republican Party slammed Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) in a statement on Thursday over her recent remarks and vote to impeach President Donald Trump following a riot that broke out at the U.S. Capitol Building last week…
“There has not been a time during our tenure when we have seen this type of an outcry from our fellow Republicans, with the anger and frustration being palpable in the comments we have received. Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time. The consensus is clear that those who are reaching out to the Party vehemently disagree with Representative Cheney’s decision and actions.” [Source: Daily Wire]
The Wyoming Republican Party revealed the long list of damning comments sent in by residents. It appears they know more about law and order—and justice—than a sitting representative. Among the many messages they sent in, they accused Cheney of violating due process, accusing Trump before any evidence was presented or judged.
Wyoming overwhelmingly supported Trump in 2020, by a margin of 70% to 30%. Cheney is supposed to represent the will of those people, not the will of the D.C. insiders.
Most of them believe Trump did not incite anyone to riot, as witnessed by the transcript of his speech.
They also pointed to the important fact that throughout last year, they watched as leftists “riot, burn, kill, maim, loot and destroy cities and communities for 7 months.” They pointed out that Democrat leaders were “egging them on, bailing them out and refusing to condemn” them.
That’s just a tip of the iceberg. It’s clear that Wyoming Republicans are not at all pleased with Cheney’s decision. The woman was simply walking in the footsteps of her father, a chief swamp dweller who put the interests of D.C. ahead of the American people.
But what will this mean for Cheney’s future in Wyoming? It’s hard to say. But if I were her, I’d consider moving from the state. Maybe try getting elected in CA… as a Democrat.
