A new report says that VP Kamala Harris will attack former President Trump at the upcoming ABC News presidential debate instead of talking about “the issues.”
NBC News reported last weeknight on Harris’s plan, which is to try to get Trump angry:
“A source told NBC News that Harris’s team is getting ready to talk about a lot of different issues, but the campaign really cares about how the debate looks. The source said that Harris and her team are trying to figure out how to poke fun at Trump in a way that will make him angry. In that way, the source said, it will be less about the issues and more about showing Harris as a strong woman who isn’t afraid and won’t shrink, willing to stand up to Trump and hold him responsible.”
The news source says that Harris will likely try to hit Trump over what they called a “bipartisan” border bill that did not make it out of the Senate. Senate Republicans James Lankford (R-OK), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Krysten Sinema (Independent-AZ) introduced the bill. Harris and other Democrats have said wrongly that Trump’s opposition to the bill kept it from passing Congress.
“Joe Biden and IÂ partnered with members of the U.S. Congress on the immigration issue…through bipartisan work, with the most conservative Republicans in the U.S. Congress,” Harris said. She then said that Trump killed the bill by telling Republican lawmakers to vote against it.
Breitbart reported that “bipartisan resistance to the bill from nearly all House and Senate Republicans and many House and Senate Democrats. This was because the bill did include amnesty for illegal immigrants.”
Trump was against parts of the bill that would allow more legal immigration and tens of thousands of illegal border crosses every week. However, other GOP members of Congress started to be against it once more details came out.
