John Kerry has gotten himself into a mess of trouble — and Republicans are not going to let him get away with it.
Growing calls for Kerry’s resignation follow a bombshell leaked audio recording in which Biden’s Climate Czar secretly revealed to Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif that Israel was behind at least 200 covert attacks against their Syrian interests. News broke this weekend of the recording, and many have demanded Kerry’s immediate resignation since.
Both State Department spokesman Ned Price and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki have declined to comment on the matter, saying they do not discuss leaked material.

Going against his better judgement, Kerry decided to comment anyway:
“I can tell you that this story and these allegations are unequivocally false. This never happened — either when I was Secretary of State or since.”
A reporter from D.C. pointed out John Kerry never specifically said which part of the story was false:
Kerry doesn’t say which part is false. Also notable: he’s commenting on the Zarif tape after both White House and State Dept said they won’t comment on leaked materials https://t.co/MsnuKIEcVp

Sen. Ted Cruz weighed in on the situation:
“If this tape is verified, it would signal recklessly so catastrophic, Envoy Kerry would have no choice but to resign for directly endangering the safety of Americans and our allies.”
“And it would be consistent with the Biden administration’s long history of empowering Iran’s terrorist regime. Kerry and his Obama cronies poured hundreds of billions of dollars into the terrorist’s bank accounts, was a close confidant with Zarif, and was caught repeatedly meeting with him during the Trump administration — a complete violation of the Logan Act — and has never publicly accounted for his crimes.”
Other notable responses to the report include:
This is a criminal act and John Kerry must be immediately investigated and PROSECUTED.
President Biden must immediately remove John Kerry from any government or advisory position.https://t.co/lO7ReFVCZS

This is disgusting on many levels. Biden and Kerry have to answer for why Kerry would be tipping off Iran, the number one sponsor of terror, while stabbing one of our greatest partners, Israel, in the back. https://t.co/ZLWnQRZkrG

Imagine for a second a Trump official sitting on the NSC, like Kerry does, told Iran details about Israeli strikes?
I believe the media would be screaming TREASON and they wouldn’t be too far off, but of course they’ll say and do nothing because they’re useless propagandists. https://t.co/ZsDowqtVWN
