Stacey Abrams, the failed democratic Gubernatorial candidate, recently received international recognition when a socialist politician nominated her for the coveted Nobel Peace Prize.
Lars Haltbrekken, a member of Norway’s Socialist Party, likened Abrams to civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr. and lauded her efforts to flip a historically red state. Democrats credit Abrams and her Far-Left voting group with securing victories for not only Joe Biden, but Senate runoff winners Ossof and Warnock as well.
“Stacey Abrams’ work is following in the footsteps of the great Martin Luther King Jr.” said the Norwegian Socialist.
King Jr. won the Nobel prize in 1964 for leading the civil rights movement.
Thousands of politicians are eligible to nominate those they deem worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. Parliament members across Europe doll out nominations to make waves in the international press.
Candidates for the peace price this year include teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg and Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Stacey Abrams launched her fight for ‘election integrity’ after she refused to conceded to Governor Brian Kemp. She is said to be the front-runner in Georgia’s 2022 governor race after Kemp’s falling out with Trump over election integrity.
The last American to win a Nobel Peace Prize went to Barack Obama in 2009.
