Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has continued to be an enemy of President Trump. She impeached him. She insulted his State of the Union speech. And she hasn’t stopped slandering him, his supporters, and his administration. So, we shouldn’t be all that surprised that Donald Trump is skipping out on a yearly tradition, to snub the Democrat.
Way back in 2018 (seems like a long time ago) Democrats running for House seats promised to work with the president. They lied to voters, claiming that if they got the House—they would coordinate with Trump to make America a better place. In fact, Nancy Pelosi spoke out against Democrats pushing impeachment, claiming it would hurt our country.
But I guess Democrats are better at lying than getting anything done. Nancy Pelosi betrayed the country to back the weakest, most pathetic, most partisan impeachment in our nation’s history. She went back on her own words, spreading lies and slander against the president.
Her impeachment plan failed spectacularly. But she was far from done. The Speaker claimed Trump was “impeached forever.” She insulted him twice during the State of the Union. She omitted the traditional words “high privilege” and “distinct honor” during her introduction. After Trump’s historic speech, she tore up her copy—insulting our great nation.
Now, it seems Trump wants nothing to do with the woman. This month we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Over the last thirty years, that was marked by a special luncheon with members of Congress and the president. But this year, Trump is skipping out on Pelosi’s little affair.
President Donald Trump has decided to skip the annual Congressional St. Patrick’s Day lunch on Capitol Hill, according to Politico‘s Playbook.
“Since the Speaker [of the House Nancy Pelosi] has chosen to tear this Nation apart with her actions and her rhetoric, the President will not participate in moments where she so often chooses to drive discord and disunity, and will instead celebrate the rich history and strong ties between the United States and Ireland at the White House on March 12,” White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement…
The Congressional luncheon is an ongoing tradition started by House Speaker Tip O’Neill in 1983, who invited President Ronald Reagan to Capitol Hill for the occasion.
But the relationship between Trump and Pelosi has deteriorated, particularly after she ripped up the president’s speech at his 2020 State of the Union address. [Source: Breitbart]
Yeah, we can all agree that Nancy Pelosi is nothing like Tip O’Neill. Pelosi has proven herself to be a bitten, partisan, and hateful Democrat. She tried to remove Trump from office, because she knew he would be re-elected. On top of that, she’s opposed numerous chances to cooperate with the White House on crucial issues.
She’s walked out of more meetings with the president than I can count.
And when put in front of a microphone, she’s attacked the president with baseless and unproveable accusations.
Why would any president want to spend lunch with a woman like that?
St. Patrick’s Day is a special time for millions of Americans. It is a chance to celebrate Irish-American heritage. The White House takes the time to reaffirm our relationship with the nation of Ireland. It should be a moment of pride and unity.
Does anyone believe Pelosi cares about unity? This woman literally ripped up Trump’s SOTU address. A speech that called for unity, celebrated our heroes, and promised a better future. Pelosi doesn’t care.
She is a bitter woman, eaten up by hate and jealousy. She can’t celebrate the achievements of this administration or Irish Americans.
Perhaps she should cancel her sham of an event entirely. I doubt anyone there would believe anything she said.
