Desperate Bernie Sanders Gets Ugly Against Trump

Once upon a time, Bernie Sanders was the man to beat.

They called him “Uncle Bernie,” as droves of young liberals supported him. Then he lost to Hillary Clinton. This time around, he’s struggling to break out of the pack. Desperate to take the lead, he let loose on Donald Trump. Looks like the “Democratic socialist” is losing his grip.

During the 2016 Democratic primaries, it looked like Bernie Sanders had a lead on Hillary Clinton. Until the DNC stabbed him in the back. What else can you expect from a party like that?

Sanders jumped back into the presidential ring, but the 2020 field is crowded with clowns who really think they can beat Trump. It’s pretty hilarious.

If you follow the polls, which fluctuate on a daily basis, Sanders is generally behind Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren. That’s pretty sad. Sanders spends his time promising all kinds of government-funded (i.e.: funded by you) handouts. He once promised free college tuition. He’s now championing, “Medicare for All,” which would bankrupt our country.

Despite all this, he can’t seem to shake Biden—whose career riddled with scandals—or Warren—an awkward person who lied about being an Indian. Not a great place to be, Bernie.

So, during a rally in Minneapolis, he decided to put all his attention on the man sure to win 2020, Donald Trump. Did Sanders rely on thoughtful and intelligent arguments against the president? Nope! He just leaned into all the most-crazy, unprovable, and hate-fueled attacks against Trump the media can muster.

Presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) campaigned in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday night alongside Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and attempted to slam President Donald Trump with unsubstantiated labels.

“This is, in addition to all of that, a president who is a racist, who is a sexist, who is a xenophobe, a homophobe, and a religious bigot,” Bernie Sanders claimed. “This is a president who is trying to divide us up based on the color of our skin, where we were born, our sexual orientation, or our religion.” [Source: Breitbart]

Wow. If Sanders were Pinnochio, his nose would reach the back of the stadium right about now. How can Democrats get away with blatantly lying about the president? Are their supporters so stupid that they’d believe anything negative about Trump—just because they’re liberal?

Hey, Bernie! Why not say Trump also eats babies and consorts with the devil!? Why not? You’ve accused him of just about everything else.

Not a single thing Bernie accused Trump of is true. But I do find it interesting that he threw in the “where we were born,” line. That was an obvious nod to illegal immigrants, who break the law to enter the United States.

Thanks to our reckless, biased, and unprofessional media, Sanders can get away with these accusations. Not a single reporter would hold him to them. None of them will demand Sanders explain how Trump is “trying to divide us.” Especially when that is exactly what Democrats do with their toxic identity politics.

But here is the key to what he thinks, the proof that Bernie is just as delusional as all the other Democrats (just as delusional as Clinton was in 2016). Get a load of what he said.

“Trump is a racist, a sexist and a xenophobe. Despite all of that, he will be a very formidable opponent,” Sanders proclaimed.

“We can beat him and we will beat him. But we cannot take anything for granted,” Sanders continued, stressing the importance of voter turnout.

“To win, we have got to create the largest voter turnout in the history of the country,” he added. [Source: Breitbart]

That’s cute. The America-hate socialist thinks he can get the “largest voter turnout” ever. Not a single Democrat running can muster the kind of enthusiasm Trump can. Not Sanders, Biden, or Warren will do that.

He thinks he can muster support by lying about Trump. And that’s exactly why he’s failing. But I doubt he’ll be able to see that until it’s too late.

Not that I’m all broken up about it.
