DeSantis Goes All In Against Communist Indoctrination In Schools

If Democrats want to continue to control the country for years to come, they need to do one thing: win over the next generation. And thanks to the strangle hold teacher’s unions have on public schools, they have easy access to millions of future voters.

That’s the main reason why they are pushing radical, anti-American teachings like “critical race theory.” This subject matter has become increasingly popular among Democrats, but largely hated by parents. It rewrites American history, slandering our founding fathers, heritage, and national identity.

It would be very easy to reshape America, if voters believed it was wrong from the start.

All across America, patriots are fighting back against this trend. And in the state of Florida, the governor just signed three bills to ensure accurate, quality information is taught to students.

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed three bills into law Tuesday that boosted civics education in the public school system and specifically teaches students the horrors of communism…

“We want all students to understand the difference, why would somebody flee across shark infested waters say, leaving from Cuba to come to southern Florida?” DeSantis continued. “Why would somebody leave a place like Vietnam? Why would people leave these countries and risk their life to be able to come here? It’s important that students understand that. Now as part of this bill, Florida will create a ‘Portraits in Patriotism’ library so students can learn about real patriots who came to this country after seeing the horrors of these communist regimes.” [Source: Daily Wire]

The first bill requires the state to create K-12 curriculum that teaches Americans’ civil rights and responsibilities under the Constitution. It will also provide a “Portraits in Patriotism” library that shares the stories of people who fled communist Cuba.

The second bill focuses on colleges and state universities. It will require students to take a civic literacy course that educates them on how our society is structured. The governor lamented how only two in five Americans even know the three branches of our federal government. How much more don’t they know about our country—and the importance of things like the separation of powers, fair and open elections, or the Bill of Rights?

The final bill will require colleges to conduct annual assessments to make sure that diversity of opinion is not being stifled. In recent years, we’ve learned all about how free speech has been crushed on American college campuses. Often, conservative students are discouraged from sharing their views. In some cases, they are even kicked off campus. This bill seeks to protect this important right, even if views are unpopular.

These bills strike a blow against the left’s attempt to take over our schools. Instead of poisonous CRT being spread through Florida schools, pro-American content will be taught. Students will learn the dangers and evils of communism and why America’s freedoms are so important.

Now, if only the rest of the country did the same.
