The mainstream media claims Donald Trump’s popularity is declining.
I guess nobody told the good people of North Carolina. A hotly-contested congressional race has been going on, with a left-wing candidate pushing to flip a red seat blue. Then Donald Trump showed up to give his support for the Republican candidate. Guess what happened? Let’s just say, Democrats are getting very worried about 2020.
The only way for Democrats to win in 2020 is for the majority of Americans to turn on Trump. That’s a bigger challenge than they realize. Since Trump entered office, the left has been smearing him with one dishonest scandal after another. None of them have succeeded in making Americans hate the president.
I guess when you do what no other president had done in decades—make good on your promises—you tend to enjoy America’s approval.
Over the summer, we’ve seen Donald Trump hold a handful of events for his 2020 campaign. He’s even appeared in unlikely parts of the country like New Hampshire. Guess what? People have come out of the woodwork to see the president. Something tells me what the media is saying about Trump’s approval is dead wrong.
And here’s more proof. Just two days ago, Trump flew to North Carolina to hold a rally in support of Dan Bishop, a Republican who was running for Congress. His district was under fire from Democrats, who were fiercely trying to flip the red seat blue. They were spending millions helping their left-wing candidate, Dan McCready.
I’ll give you a minute to figure out what happened. Thanks to Donald Trump, Bishop torched the Democrat, taking the seat.
Now, Democrats are fearing the worst for 2020.
In a major victory for both President Trump and national Republicans, North Carolina GOP state Sen. Dan Bishop was projected to win a fiercely contested special U.S. House election for the 9th District that was widely seen as a bellwether for the president’s chances in the 2020 election…
Even Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairwoman Cheri Bustos acknowledged that the president contributed to Bishop’s win…
“Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “He then asked me for help, we changed his strategy together, and he ran a great race. Big Rally last night. Now it looks like he is going to win. @CNN &@MSNBC are moving their big studio equipment and talent out. Stay tuned!”
“Despite being massively outspent by Democrats, @realDonaldTrump rallied voters and put Bishop over the top,” McDaniel said. “A huge win for the president and our grassroots field program that’s working hard to elect Republicans in 2020!” [Source: Fox News]
You might not be from North Carolina. You might not know why this seat—which has been Republican since 1963—was so important. Well, it has everything to do with the Democrats.
Since Trump entered office, they have claimed every election to be a referendum on his presidency. If Democrats win, they claim it’s America “taking back the country.” But more often than not, in special elections and even in the Midterms, the left’s worst nightmares have come true. Trump’s effect on this country is putting more and more Republicans into office. Democrats are watching their influence erode like a badly-made sand castle during a storm.
Democrats were really, REALLY hoping last night’s election would be a sign for 2020. Had McCready won, they would have said—across all media outlets—that Trump will lose. They claimed that in 2018—remember their “blue wave”? They were wrong about that too.
The fact remains that Trump is the only man doing his job in Washington. He’s fixing the economy, securing our borders, and improving America for everyone. The GOP was smart enough to follow his lead—and they’re winning all over the place.
What have the Democrats done over the last three years? Oh yeah, lie, cheat, smear, and try to impeachment Trump. They’ve refused to work with the GOP and help Americans.
That’s not what you call a winning strategy, if you ask me.
