COVID Tyranny Stopped In Its Tracks By Rising GOP Star

Republican Governor of Florida – and rising star in the Republican Party – made history on Monday when he signed (SB) 2006, effectively protecting Floridians against the use of vaccine passports. This landmark legislation serves as a much-needed protected against overreach from state and local governments.

Florida Republicans are describing the bill as “the correct stability between protecting one’s future safety and one’s Constitutionally-provided personal liberty” — a philosophy the Republican Governor has stuck by despite during the coronavirus pandemic despite constant attacks from Democrats and the liberal media.

At the bill’s signing DeSantis bucked Democrats’ constant adherence to “science” saying, “I think it’s the evidence-based thing to do.”

The new bill empowers local legislatures to override unnecessarily tyrannical edicts coming from the heads of State, even the governor himself.

The bill states:

“Intent of the Legislature to minimize the negative effects of an extended emergency, such as a pandemic or another public health emergency.”

Local governments may impose emergency restrictions, but they have a speedy expiration date of only seven days. Meanwhile, the governor can override the restrictions at any time.

Per the bill:

Local orders must be “limited in duration, applicability, and scope in order to reduce any infringement on individual rights or liberties to the greatest extent possible,”

Furthermore, SB 2006 bans Florida businesses from forcing its people to provide their medical histories before frequenting establishments. It makes illegal any locality who seeks to demands proof of vaccination or negative tests from the Chinese virus.

DeSantis highlighted the major difference between him and other Democrat governors who continue to crush their people with lockdown restrictions.

“Over the last year we’ve avoided protracted lockdowns and school closures in Florida because I have refused to take the same approach as other lockdown Governors,”

He added:

“In Florida, your personal choice regarding vaccinations will be protected and no business or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision,” he added, thanking the State Legislature for getting the measure “across the finish line.”

Additionally, the legislation strengthens the executive order signed by Gov. DeSantis earlier this year prohibiting the use of COVID-19 vaccine passports. The order blocked any business, corporation or entity from requiring proof of vaccination or negative tests. .
