Biden Energy Sec Admits They Are Using Gas Crisis to Push Radical Agenda

You might be wondering why Biden does little to confront the gas crisis. He might be blaming Russia now, but Biden’s policies have been hurting U.S. energy production for nearly a year. He enacted numerous orders that crippled our drilling and refining, leading to skyrocketing costs. The Ukraine war only added to that problem. But if you were to believe Biden, it is entirely Putin’s fault and there is nothing he can do about it.

Makes little sense, if you think the president’s job is to put Americans first. Under Trump, we managed to produce record amounts of energy while also protecting the environment. Biden and his environmental extremists don’t want to do both. They are deliberately weakening our energy sector. And now we know why. Biden’s energy secretary admitted they are using the crisis to push their “green agenda.”

The Biden administration says increased gas prices caused by the invasion of Ukraine present a good opportunity to switch to electric vehicles.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said the war in Ukraine “creates…an urgent moment” to switch to clean energy, according to video in a tweet from Tom S. Elliott…

“This crisis in Europe and the crisis our allies are facing and the reduction of supply of natural gas and oil from Russia creates a moment that we should be acting,” Granholm replied, “…and this is a moment for Congress to be able to act … It’s an urgent moment.” [Source: Western Journal]

Biden and his cronies want us to think that the rising gas prices were suddenly triggered by Russia. And that this crisis cannot be solved by any other means, than pushing green energy. Sec. Granholm called this an “urgent moment” to coerce the Democrat-controlled Congress to “act.”

That can only mean by pushing the “Green New Deal”—a set of environmental policies that would cripple every sector of our economy.

Democrats say “never let a crisis go to waste.” They use the urgency of a problem to force their unpopular agenda onto the country—even when voters don’t want it. And if there isn’t a crisis to exploit, they’ll make one. Just as Biden created an energy crisis by crippling U.S. energy production.

Biden’s administration is pushing the false narrative that the “only” solution is rising gas prices is to push radical green initiatives. That goes beyond pressing Americans to buy electric cars. They want to destroy the fossil fuel industry, lock, stock, and barrel. Yet their “solutions” don’t even come close to fixing the problems. Green sources of energy, like solar and wind, can provide enough electricity to met demand.

So, why push it? Because at this point, environmentalism is practically a religion to the left. They’d rather destroy our economy and make energy cost a fortune, all in the name of “saving the planet.” They don’t care how much they hurt everyday Americans, as long as they are pushing their extremist agenda.
