Biden Dismantles What’s Left Of ICE

Joe Biden is gutting ICE faster than anyone expected.

The current administration is planning a massive ‘overhaul’ of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As a result, thousands of officers would be without employment and illegal immigrants currently residing in the U.S. will continue to receive the benefits of citizenship.

Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, has issued a plan to completely demolish ICE’s Removal Operations arm which oversees the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants in the United States. Mayorkas plans to convert those agents into investigators in other departments. Illegal Immigration would be left unenforced.

This order comes after Mayorkas vowed to keep ICE intact during his Senate confirmation hearing.

The proposal backed by the Biden administration would keep ICE intact by name alone, but effectively do away with its ability to enforce immigration laws. Biden seeks to strip current ICE agents of their ability to police those who overstay their visas, commit marriage fraud or any other immigration law currently on the books.

Democrats have routinely attacked ICE’s mission to limit and police illegal immigration according to the laws. Liberal mayors have enacted ‘sanctuary cities’ to bypass ICE orders and harbor those who knowingly break immigration orders.

“This is an administrative abolishment of ICE as we currently know it,” a source close to ICE revealed.

As a result, the number of illegal immigrants taken into custody by ICE would dramatically decline. So would the number of illegal immigrants deported from the U.S. ICE arrests have been on the decline for the past decade, but saw a slight increase during parts of the Trump administration.

The acting ICE director, Tae Johnson, is a dedicated Deep State official working nearly three decades in different government positions. He’s signaled his support for Mayorkas’s plan to dismantle ICE.

ICE currently employs nearly 13,000 officers – 6,000 of which are actively enforcing immigration laws, while 7,000 investigate new immigration crimes. Mayorkas’s plan would result in a dramatic restructuring of ICE’s hierarchy, resulting in major job loss for some and giant pay raises for others.
