Biden Casts More Blame on Oil Companies as He Threatens ‘Action’

Nobody is fooled when Biden claims that Putin is responsible for the ongoing gas crisis. Gas prices have steadily risen ever since he entered office. His administration quickly went to work destroying America’s energy independence.

Not only did he ban oil and gas leases on federal land, but he shut down a pipeline. His administration also enacted heavy regulations and restrictions, which artificially drove prices up (all in the name of the “Green New Deal”). So, when companies started to boycott Russian oil, there were no American resources to fall back on.

Yet Biden continues to blame everyone but himself. He even sent a letter to American oil companies, blaming them for the crisis and threatening to take “action.”

Biden warns oil companies in his letter that “at a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable.”

“My Administration is prepared to use all reasonable and appropriate Federal Government tools and emergency authorities to increase refinery capacity and output in the near term, and to ensure that every region of this country is appropriately supplied,” Biden continues.

The president’s letter blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin and “Putin’s price hike” for record-high gas prices in the United States, ignoring the fact that gas prices have doubled since he became president…

Biden appears willing to further vilify oil companies as responsible for record-high gas prices, despite his administration’s refusal to approve permits and leases for oil drilling on public lands.

Don’t believe a word Biden says in this letter. This is all talk, no action. Biden is deliberately trying to turn American consumers against the very people who are providing gas and energy. The one getting in the way (and driving up prices)? Joe Biden.

Oil companies have no choice in the matter. Biden clamps down on their ability to provide their product, then scolds them for high prices when supply is low. It makes no sense, unless you are a failing president desperate to shift the blame.

Biden claims his administration will “use all reasonable and appropriate” tools to address the problem. Really? Then reopen drilling on federal land. Nix Green New Deal policies that are crippling the industry. End regulations that are making it impossible for oil companies to stay afloat. Bring back Trump-era policies that made us the world leader in energy.

But Biden has no intentions of doing any of those things. This letter is the next step in his radical environmentalist agenda. Blame oil companies, so that Americans will be more motivated to buy alternative-fueled cars.

Unless you’re able to afford a Tesla, this plan is not going to work.
