Recent reports revealed Louis Freeh, former Director of the FBI, donated $100,000 to a private trust fund for the grandchildren of then-Vice President of the United States Joe Biden in 2016. That same year, Biden’s embattled son Hunter, and possibly himself, colluded with foreign leaders overseas to secure future work for the Biden clan.
Emails between the two suggest Freeh was desperate to secure business dealings with the Biden family, but the White House refuses to confirm or deny if private matters were discussed at the time.
Freeh began emailing Hunter in February of 2016, attaching each correspondence with a “confidential and privileged” marker.
In the email, the former FBI official expressed his delight and optimism to be working with Hunter in the future, revealing, “I spoke to Dad and would like to explore some work options for you in the future.”
In another email Freeh reiterated to Hunter, “No doubt you and Dad have many options that are probably more lucrative, but I would like to work together next year,” adding, “If it’s something that interests you both, let’s talk next week. We could set it up as a profit sharing enterprise, but I’m flexible. It would be honor to work with both you and your Dad.”
After Biden left office in 2017, Freeh asked Hunter for Joe’s personal contact information in the hopes they could discuss “profitable matters.” I would still like to persuade him to associate with me and FSS [Freeh’s firm Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan LLP] —as we have some very good and profitable matters which he could enhance with minimal time.”
In April 2017, Freeh referenced Hallie Biden, the widow of Joe Biden’s son Beau who became Hunter’s lover, writing, “As you know, our family foundation made a $100K contribution to Hallie’s children’s trust last year.
“Thank you so much. I will Speak to you soon. Hunter,” Hunter Biden replied.
Hunter gave Freeh his fathers personal cell and an email address for a top Biden staffer Kathy Chung, who he kept employed after leaving office in 2017.
