Harvard Students Paying $60K a Year Just Discovered That Grades Are Racist

Harvard University — the most prestigious institution of higher learning in the Western world, the school that produced eight U.S. Presidents — just had its students throw a tantrum because the administration suggested that maybe, possibly, not everyone deserves an A.

Apparently, academic standards are white supremacy now. Who knew!

Here’s the backstory. Harvard’s grade inflation problem got so ridiculous that over 60% of all grades handed out in 2025 were A’s. Six out of ten. Back in 2010, it was about a third. So in fifteen years, Harvard went from a place where an A meant something to a place where an A meant you showed up and remembered to breathe.

The administration — in a rare moment of sanity — proposed capping “flat A” grades at roughly 20% per class. A-minus grades? No cap. You can still hand those out like candy on Halloween. The reform basically says: hey, maybe the top grade should go to the top students. Revolutionary concept, we know.

The students lost their minds.

A petition started circulating calling the grading reform — and we’re quoting here — “blatantly racist.” The organizers claimed it would “mirror and reinforce existing racial and socioeconomic hierarchies.”

Translation: if you grade us on merit, some people will do better than others, and we can’t have that because equity.

Pop quiz: When did earning your grade become a tool of oppression? Was it before or after your parents wrote a check for $60,000 so you could learn that math is colonialism?

Think about what these kids are actually arguing. They’re at HARVARD. They got into the most selective university in the country. They beat out hundreds of thousands of applicants. And now they’re saying that being graded on their actual academic performance is… racist. Against them. The Harvard students.

(These are supposed to be the smart ones, folks.)

The real joke is that Harvard created this monster. Years of DEI programming, safe spaces, and participation-trophy grading taught an entire generation of Ivy Leaguers that any standard that produces unequal outcomes must be dismantled. You can’t spend a decade telling kids that every disparity is evidence of systemic racism and then act surprised when they call your grading rubric a hate crime.

Congratu-freaking-lations, Harvard. You played yourself.

And the complaint that the reform would “increase academic competition” among students? At a UNIVERSITY? The place you specifically go to compete academically? That’s like joining the Marines and complaining about the push-ups.

Meanwhile, there’s a kid at a state school in Ohio pulling all-nighters, working a part-time job, and actually earning her grades without a trust fund or a therapy dog. She doesn’t have time to circulate petitions about how her GPA is problematic. She’s too busy studying.

That’s the America we live in now. The most privileged students at the most elite school in the country are claiming victim status because someone suggested they earn their A’s instead of being handed them. The kids whose diplomas open every door in every industry are protesting standards.

Seth Segal nailed it in his analysis — the only people who see racism in a grading policy are people who view literally everything through the lens of race. The rest of us just call it “school.”

The good news? The DEI grift is dying. Normal Americans have had it. Corporations are quietly dismantling their diversity departments. Voters are rejecting this nonsense at the ballot box. And now even Harvard — ground zero for woke academia — is trying to claw back some credibility by making grades mean something again.

The students can petition all they want. The rest of us will be over here in reality, where your work speaks for itself and nobody cares about your feelings when the test scores come back.

Welcome to the real world, kids. Grades aren’t racist. You’re just mad you might have to study.
