As President-elect Donald Trump prepares for his second term, a coalition of hawkish immigration groups is urging Republicans in Congress and the incoming administration to follow through on campaign promises to launch a mass deportation operation and secure America’s borders. The coalition, which includes organizations like Heritage Action for America, NumbersUSA, the National Immigration Center for Enforcement, and the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), has issued a clear message: the time for action is now.
In a letter obtained by Fox News Digital, the coalition emphasized the urgency of moving quickly, citing potential challenges such as litigation from “open-borders zealots,” regulatory hurdles, and the sheer complexity of law enforcement operations. “Mass deportations and secure borders are not only cornerstones of public safety and national security, but they are also a critical means to protect American workers and stop employers from engaging in unscrupulous activities,” the coalition wrote. “Most importantly, they are not bargaining chips for other policies or political priorities.”
The coalition highlighted the importance of the GOP’s 2023 House-passed border bill, which included measures to secure the border and limit asylum claims. However, they described the bill as merely a “floor, not a ceiling,” urging Congress and the Trump administration to go even further. They called for a bold budget reconciliation package to include resources for “millions of deportations,” closing legal loopholes, defunding pro-immigration nonprofits, and prioritizing American workers over foreign labor. They warned lawmakers to reject “amnesty of any kind,” noting, “If you have to say it isn’t one, it is.”

Rosemary Jenks, policy director at the Immigration and Accountability Project, stressed the need for Congress to provide the resources necessary for Trump’s immigration enforcement goals, including more ICE officers and detention beds. “Congress must act immediately to deliver the resources required for President Trump to carry out the mass deportations necessary to reverse the damage done by the Biden Administration,” she said.
Incoming border czar Tom Homan, speaking on Jesse Watters Tonight, echoed the coalition’s stance, declaring that ICE would enforce immigration laws “without apology.” He emphasized targeting public safety threats first but warned, “No one is off the table. If they’re in the country illegally, they got a problem.”
The coalition’s call to action comes as polls consistently show illegal immigration remains a top concern for many Americans. Trump’s hardline immigration policies, including promises to bolster border security and enforce the rule of law, were central to his 2024 campaign and helped secure Republican victories in Congress. Now, with unified government control, the coalition sees a critical window to implement these policies.
For conservatives, this represents an opportunity to deliver on promises to protect the nation’s borders, prioritize American workers, and restore order to an immigration system plagued by years of neglect. Unlike the left’s approach, which often prioritizes ideology and globalist narratives over national security, Trump’s administration is poised to act decisively to address the crisis.
As the coalition noted, “It is time to bring order to our immigration system and restore fidelity to the rule of law. The American people are waiting.”
